Updating css profile

Statement: Applicants for Federal Student Aid programs must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Georgia Tech Application for Scholarships and Financial Aid (GT App) annually.

The CSS Profile is currently only required for incoming first-year applicants who are also seeking need-based assistance from Georgia Tech funds.

As part of a University System of Georgia initiative on improving financial literacy, you may have received an email detailing information on your loans.

Outside scholarships and/or participating in co-op work experiences help many students offset the cost of attendance.

**CSS Profile will no longer be accepted after this date.** Final deadline for receipt of GT App, FAFSA and any other missing requirements needed for Federal and/or State aid in order to receive an award notice in time for Fall 2019 fee payment deadline.** **Please note for the upcoming Fall 2019 semester: Financial aid applications that are incomplete after July 1, 2019, including any missing requirements, will continue to be accepted.

However, it is highly unlikely that your eligibility for any financial aid will be processed in time for the Fall 2019 semester fee payment deadline. Students should be prepared to make payment by the Fall 2019 payment deadline of August 26th.

To be considered an “on-time” financial aid applicant, all three aid applications listed above, as well as any requested documentation, must be received and complete by January 31, 2019.

GT OSFA will continue to accept late applications and documentation after the priority date, however, we strongly encourage all applicants to submit their completed applications and documentation as soon as possible so we can determine eligibility for other types of aid.
